Staff Sgt. Lindsey Underkoffler of Mechanicsburg, Pa., a motor transpiration operator with the 213th Regional Support Group, 228th Transportation Battalion, 131st Transportation Company, picks up boxes of shelf stable meals at a warehouse in Harrisburg April 9, 2020. Pennsylvania National Guard transportation units are assisting the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services in the delivery of meals to a various distribution centers across the commonwealth. These meals, as many as 25,000 a day, will resupply county emergency management agencies, senior citizen centers, food banks and other charitable organizations. “I’m very proud to be a Soldier and of my unit. Our unit has done many great things over the last several years,” said Underkoffler. “The best thing we can do is to be a community and help each other by providing as much support as we can.” Underkoffler also works at the U.S. Department of the Navy, Naval Supply Systems Command as a human resource specialist.
