Spc. Ezekiel Saleh of Bloomsburg, Pa., a motor transpiration operator with the 213th Regional Support Group, 228th Transportation Battalion, 131st Transportation Company, picks up shelf stable meals with a M915 military truck at a warehouse in Harrisburg on April 8, 2020. The meals will be delivered to various food distribution centers throughout the commonwealth. Pennsylvania National Guard transportation units are assisting the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services in the dissemination of meals to dozens of distribution centers across the commonwealth. These meals, as many as 25,000 a day, will resupply county emergency management agencies, senior citizen centers, food banks and other charitable organizations. “I know eventually this is all going to be over,” Saleh said. “We just need to go through the motions and deal with it. If everyone can practice social distancing and good hygiene, we will get through this.” As a civilian, Saleh works at Milco Industries in Bloomsburg and attends Bloomsburg University as a sophomore majoring in criminal justice with a minor in digital forensics.
