NAVAL BASE GUAM (April 15, 2020) U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to Navy Cargo Handling Battalion (NCHB) 1 keep tension on lines as an Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS) power module is lifted by a crane during an operation to offload equipment for construction of an Expeditionary Medical Facility (EMF) from Watson-class vehicle cargo ship USNS Dahl (T-AKR-312). The EMF will provide expanded medical capabilities in support of DoD’s COVID-19 response and will enable forces to be postured to support Guam and the region if a Defense Support of Civil Authorities mission is requested.
