Baton Rouge, La., native Col. Jeff Mitchell, state chaplain for the Louisiana National Guard, dons personal protective equipment before hosting a Blessing of the Hands ceremony at Baton Rouge General Mid City campus May 6, 2020. The ceremony is a hospital tradition practiced around the world in honor of the annually recognized Nurses Week held from May 6 - 12. EMF-M coordinates closely with state, local, and public health authorities to ensure the well-being of their personnel and the local population.
