City of Barstow, Calif., residents and denizens of the Veterans Home of California-Barstow, show their appreciation of the Memorial Day event held at the Home, May 25. The celebration was held in lieu of the usually more solemn ceremonies staged at Mountain View Memorial Park. That traditional graveside ceremony was put on hold because of COVID-19 restrictions prohibiting large, static gatherings. Instead, thousands of motor vehicles of of types and descriptions drove by the Home in a two hour long memorial of those who died in battle defending America during its history.
