Staff Sgt. Wandra Byrd of the 108th Training Command of Charlotte, N.C., shows some children at Camp Hanes, N.C., how to apply face paint during Military Day activities, July 11. The week-long camp included a Military Day where children were exposed to different aspects of military life such as Army heater meals, camouflage face paint, physical training and a static vehicle display. The children also wrote supportive letters to veterans and drew pictures that will become parts of a larger mural as a part of Project S.N.A.P. and the Operation Grateful Nation Mosaic Mural project.
