200626-N-JN391-1038 BREMERTON, Wash. (June 26, 2020) Sailors use a rereeve machine to replace an arresting cable on the flight deck of Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). A rereeve machine removes old arresting cable while pulling a new one into place. Carl Vinson is currently undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance pierside in Bremerton, Wash.
