200817-N-EV253-1231 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 17, 2020) Command Master Chief Petty Officer Katie Coleman, CMC aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116), plays the role of the Ice Queen and initiates Sailors into the “Order of the Blue Nose” during a line-crossing ceremony, as the ship transits the Atlantic Ocean in support of Operation Nanook-Tuugaalik, Aug. 17, 2020. Thomas Hudner participates in Canadian Operation Nanook alongside U.S. Coast Guard, Canadian, French, and Danish Allies to enhance their Arctic capabilities, and meet the requirements outlined in each nation’s respective defense policies.
