ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 17, 2020) Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116) transits the Arctic Circle with, from right to left, Royal Canadian Navy Kingston-class coastal defense vessel HMCS Glace Bay (MM 701), U.S. Coast Guard medium endurance cutter USCGC Tahoma (WMEC-908) and Royal Danish Navy Thetis-class frigate HDMS Triton (F358) during Operation Nanook, Aug. 17, 2020. Thomas Hudner participates in Canadian Operation Nanook alongside US Coast Guard, Canadian, French, and Danish Allies to enhance their Arctic capabilities, and meet the requirements outlined in each nation’s respective defense policies.
