ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 17, 2020) Retail Specialist 2nd Class Alain Hernandez, a member of the visit, board, search and seizure team aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116), participates in a hook and climb drill with U.S. Coastguardsmen from the Maritime Security Response Team-East during a training session on non-compliant boarding practices as the ship transits the Atlantic Ocean in support of Operation Nanook-Tuugaalik, Aug. 17, 2020. Thomas Hudner participates in Canadian Operation Nanook alongside U.S. Coast Guard, Canadian, French, and Danish Allies to enhance their Arctic capabilities, and meet the requirements outlined in each nation’s respective defense policies.
