Sgt. 1st Class Elmer Mayhew and Sgt. Jared Fossek are recognized in front of their fellow Soldiers during their Purple Heart award ceremony on August 31, 2020, at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Both Soldiers received this distinction for their injuries sustained during rocket attacks on March 14, 2020, while stationed at Camp Taji, Iraq with Delta Company, 1-189th General Support Aviation Battalion, Montana National Guard.
