Marines and Sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 13, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, assist a role player to a casualty collection point during mass casualty evacuation training aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, July 12, 2012. The role players wore fake blood and makeup to simulate types of injuries people have in natural disasters or armed conflict. For more than a week, CLB-13 practiced providing humanitarian assistance, mass casualty evacuation, and noncombatant evacuation operations in preparation for next year’s deployment with the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
