    The crystal-clear waters of Jackson County’s Blue Springs are the head waters of Merritt’s Mill Pond. The Natural Spring discharges about 76 million gallons a day. Springs are not only an important part of tourism and recreational economy, but it plays an important role in irrigation, navigation and the generation of power.
