Brenda Burman, commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation, and Brig. Gen. Paul Owen, commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers South Pacific Division, listen as Gerry Slattery, Program Manager for the Folsom Dam Program with the USACE Sacramento District, presents a brief on Folsom Dam Dike 8 and the overall Folsom Dam Raise and Joint Federal projects. Burman attended the groundbreaking for the Dike 8 project in January and took this opportunity to see the finished project. Reclamation partners with USACE on many different projects involving flood risk management and water use throughout the country.
