Leaders and employees from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, South Pacific Division and Sacramento District, Bureau of Reclamation, and Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency, view the completed Folsom Dam Dike 8, part of the overall Folsom Dam Raise Project, in Folsom, California Oct. 1, 2020. The three agencies collaborate frequently on many different projects involving flood risk management and water use throughout California’s Central Valley, and along with the California Department of Water Resources and the Central Valley Flood Protection Board, are long-term partners on the Folsom Dam Raise project, which aims to raise the height of the dam’s many supporting structures by 3.5 feet.
