As part of a Department of Defense COVID-19 operation in Texas, U.S. Air Force medical personnel participate in joint reception, staging, onward movement, and integration training in El Paso, Texas, Nov. 7, 2020 in preparation to augment three El Paso civilian hospitals affected by a surge of COVID-19 cases. These service members will work alongside their civilian counterparts to assist in mitigating the virus. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in support of the whole-of-nation COVID-19 response.
