Two boom tow boats form a "Y" shape while towing a wide-body skimmer system vessel to collect oil from the water's surface during a humanitarian aid and disaster relief exercise. Coalition forces are conducting the exercise Nov. 1-7 to enhance capabilities in responding to a regional nation's request for assistance during a time of a crisis. Exercises between the coalition and its regional partners provide an excellent opportunity for the coalition to demonstrate its commitment to security and stability in the region.
