TOWSON, Md.— Maryland National Guard Lt. Col. Michael W. Schellhammer presents his team’s recommendations at the conclusion of a professional development exercise led by the commander of the Maryland National Guard’s Task Force 291, Col. Kristine L. Henry, at the Ruhl Armory, November 8, 2020. During the professional development exercise, officers and senior NCOs brainstormed ideas that will be used to establish a mentorship program, design a mock field grade assignment board and develop a program to encourage strategic growth and external engagement. TF 291 was established following the recent deployment of the 58th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade headquarters to the Middle East and is responsible for providing command and control for two battalions, three detachments, and two separate companies consisting of intelligence, information operations, signal, cyber, and Special Forces units, (U.S. National Guard photo by Maj.
