TOWSON, Md.— Maryland National Guard Lt. Col. Christopher P. Keene presents his team’s recommendations at the conclusion of a professional development exercise led by the commander of the Maryland National Guard’s Task Force 291, Col. Kristine L. Henry, at the Ruhl Armory, November 8, 2020. During the professional development exercise, officers and senior NCOs brainstormed ideas that will be used to establish a mentorship program, design a mock field grade assignment board and develop a program to encourage strategic growth and external engagement. TF 291 was established following the recent deployment of the 58th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade headquarters to the Middle East and provides command and control for HHC, 58th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade (EMIB), 629th Military Intelligence Battalion, 29th Infantry Division detachments (including Signal, Military Intelligence, and Operations capabilities), Special Operations Detachment – NATO (Airborne), Company B, 2-20th Special Forces Group, 110th Information Operations Battalion, 169th Cyber Protection Team (CPT), and the 291st DLD.
