A worker steps onto part of the six-mile pipeline no longer in use on Annette Island. The Metlakatla Indian Community is removing 1,200 feet of the pipeline this year under the Native American Lands Environmental Mitigation Program with assistance from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District.
