A U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker maintainer, 376th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (EAMXS), references a technical order before performing an operations check on an engine, Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan, Aug. 5, 2012. The 376th EAMXS/AMU puts a strong emphasis on by-the-book maintenance in order to keep the KC-135s in the air and refueling U.S. and coalition air assets who directly support ground forces in Afghanistan.
