Mechanical Engineer Richard Williams and Fire Protection Engineer Brit Rockafellow, with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Europe District, discuss their observations in a utility and storage room during a barracks assessment walk through on Clay Kaserne February 25, 2021. A multi-discipline team from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers assessed nine barracks facilities with U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden Directorate of Public Works engineers and various building tenants throughout the week to understand how the buildings are currently being utilized as offices and living areas and how the spaces can be upgraded and provide a safe and sanitary environment for the Soldiers living there. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is providing the garrison with recommendations and cost estimates to help the garrison with plans and budgeting for possible future upgrades and renovations.
