A Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) logistics officer with 15th Brigade, JGSDF, examines 3D printed parts during a tour of the 3d Marine Logistics Group (MLG) General Support Maintenance (GSM) on Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, April 8, 2021. During the tour, the JGSDF learned about the Advanced Manufacturing facility and the capabilities and benefits of 3D printing supplies on Okinawa. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
