U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Samuel Margarini, machine shop staff noncommissioned officer in charge with General Support Maintenance (GSM) Company, 3d Maintenance Battalion, 3d Marine Logistics Group (MLG), conducts a tour of the GSM maintenance bay to service members with the 15th Brigade, Japan Ground Self Defense Force (JGSDF) on Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, April 8, 2021. During the tour, the JGSDF learned about the Advanced Manufacturing facility and the capabilities and benefits of 3D printing supplies on Okinawa. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
