Ms. Alaleh Jenkins, performing the duties of Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Financial Management and Comptroller, right, speaks with Capt. Paul J. Lanzilotta, USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) commanding officer in the commanding officer's in-port cabin, April 18, 2021. During her visit, Jenkins met with Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 12 commander and other warfare commanders to receive an in-depth look at underway operations and significant milestones made during Ford's last independent steaming event (ISE) as part of post-delivery test and trials. During Ford's final ISE, she will complete combat systems ship qualification trials, integrated CSG operations and cyclic flight operations.
