Gen. Paul J. LaCamera, USARPAC commanding general, awards Brig. Gen. Andrew D. Preston, former USARPAC chief of staff, the Legion of Merit April 22 during the Flying V ceremony held at historic Palm Circle, Fort Shafter, Hawaii. LaCamera was the host for the ceremony. The Flying V ceremony traditionally welcomes or honors senior Army officials when they assume duties or depart from #USARPAC. The “V” refers to the way the colors are posted during the ceremony, which is in a V-shape.
