U.S. Army Pacific held a Flying V ceremony, April 22, to welcome Maj. Gen. Reginald G. A. Neal, USARPAC deputy commanding general – Army National Guard, and Brig. Gen. Peter N. Benchoff, USARPAC chief of staff. USARPAC's Soldiers and civilians also bid farewell to Brig. Gen. Andrew D. Preston, former USARPAC chief of staff. Gen. Paul J. LaCamera, USARPAC commanding general, was the host for the ceremony. The Flying V ceremony traditionally welcomes or honors senior Army officials when they assume duties or depart from USARPAC. The “V” refers to the way the colors are posted during the ceremony, which is in a V-shape.
