U.S. Marine Corps air crew communicate with F/A-18D Hornet pilots from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 225 (VMFA(AW)) prior to take-off from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Sept. 12, in support of Valiant Shield 2012. Valiant Shield is an ongoing biennial joint-service exercise; this is the fourth iteration of the exercise series. The exercise lasts from Sept. 11 - 19, 2012.
