The German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency is awarded to 63 soldiers Sept. 7, 2012 at the German Club on Fort Bliss after they completed a series of training obstacles including: 200-meter swim, three-kilometer run run, 100-meter sprint, 12-kilometer ruck march, a shooting pistol shooting competition, and a measured long jump. The German military has been active in the Fort Bliss community for over 50 years.
