U.S. Reserved Officer Training Corp. Cadet Marie St. A. Clair, senior at University of Texas, El Paso, and Lt. Col. Travis Delk, 383rd Quartermaster Battalion, attend the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency ceremony Sept. 7, 2012 at the German Club on Fort Bliss. St. Clair was sponsored by her unit, 356th Transportation Company, 383rd Quartermaster Battalion, 647th Regional Support Group out of Las Cruces, N.M. St. Clair, a native of Arpin, Wis., is one of 63 Soldiers to complete the competition that includes: 200-meter swim, three-kilometer run run, 100-meter sprint, 12-kilometer ruck march, a shooting pistol shooting competition, and a measured long jump. The German military has been active in the Fort Bliss community for over 50 years.
