210415-N-ZE595-1002 SANTA RITA, Guam (April 15, 2021) Utilitiesman Constructionman Apprentice Yashneel Achari, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, prepares the supply hose of the Lightweight Water Purification System (LWPS) for storage. LWPS is a highly-transportable and self-contained system, capable of sustaining potable water requirements in a wide variety of austere conditions. NMCB-4 is forward-deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region ready to support major combat operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief and to provide general engineering and civil support to U.S. and joint forces.
