210415-N-ZE595-1001 SANTA RITA, Guam (April 15, 2021) Construction Electrician 2nd Class Billings Amoah, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4, connects a supply hose to the Lightweight Water Purification System (LWPS) during operational testing. LWPS is a highly-transportable and self-contained system, capable of sustaining potable water requirements in a wide variety of austere conditions. NMCB-4 is forward-deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region ready to support major combat operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief and to provide general engineering and civil support to U.S. and joint forces.
