The 100th Air Refueling Wing’s newest heritage nose art, “Skipper III,” is unveiled by Gary Rogers, center, 100th ARW Public Affairs graphic artist, and Senior Airman William Cook, 100th Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintenance technician, at a ceremony on Royal Air Force Mildenhall, May 7, 2021. Rogers designed the nose art and Cook fabricated the decal and applied it to tail number 59-1470, which is dedicated to retired Master Sgt. Dewey Christopher, former 351st Bomb Squadron maintainer and crew chief of the 100th Bombardment Group and World War II. Christopher passed away in 2019, but his son, Gary Christopher, on screen, was able to attend the ceremony virtually and witness the unveiling of the nose art in his father’s honor.
