JEFFCO AIR TANKER BASE, Colo. -- A C-130 Hercules aircraft from the 153rd Airlift Wing takes on potable water for its next training mission. The 153rd Airlift Wing is in Jefferson County, Colo., conducting annual aerial Wildland Firefighting (WFF) training, using the USDA Forest Service-provided Modular Aerial Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) fixed aboard C-130 Hercules aircraft. Seen here is the NP2000 8-bladed propeller, allowing for more simplified maintenance.
