Two soldiers with 53rd Brigade Support Battalion, 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, compete as a team during a Army Warrior Tasks proficiency competition held after a week long training period that focused on Army Warrior Tasks, Saturday, May 22, 2021. Soldiers completed the AWTs alongside local Albanian Army Officer Cadets. The unique environment allowed Soldiers to focus on tasks that are normally broken up in blocks over multiple months, in a more thorough and less hurried format. The journey to Albania comes courtesy of participation in the expansive multi-national military exercise DEFENDER-Europe 21, which focuses on exchange training and joint interoperability between the United States, NATO, and its allies.
