Commander and Command Sergeant Major of the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Col. Blake Glass and Command Sgt. Maj. Jasen Pask accept an award from Mahmut Ajazi, Director of the Halit Coka School in Bathore Village, Albania, May 25, 2021 after handing out new school supplies to students. The event was organized after the 53rd IBCT’s Civil Affairs Officer, Capt. Talal Tassi, identified a need in the local community and saw the opportunity to provide a real impact beyond military training before redeploying home. The 53rd raised enough money to hand out 100 backpacks, and items for special needs students.
