The Commander and the Command Sergeant Major of the 53rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Col. Blake Glass and Command Sgt. Maj. Jasen Pask, handout school supplies at an outreach event at Halit Coka School in Bathore Village, Albania, Tuesday, May 25, 2021. The fundraiser was organized by the 53rd IBCT’s Civil Affairs Officer, Capt. Talal Tassi, who identified the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on the local community before redeploying home. The 53rd IBCT has been participating in the DEFENDER-Europe 21 exercise, a multi-national event focusing on exchange training and joint-interoperability between the United States, NATO, and its allies.
