U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Patrick Gravel from the Military Sealift Command chartered High Speed Vessel Swift (HSV-2) volunteers to paint an orphanage in Pointe Noire to foster improved community relations during a visit to the Republic of Congo. Swift is in Pointe Noire as part of Africa Partnership Station. APS is an international security cooperation initiative, facilitated by Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, aimed at strengthening global maritime partnerships through training and collaborative activities in order to improve maritime safety and security in Africa.
