A Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent guides members of the Jamaican Defense Force (JDF) on a vehicle extraction during Tradewinds 2021, Camp Stephenson, Guyana, June 16. DEA agents joined U.S. Soldiers from 1st Battalion 3rd Special Forces Group Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA 7-326) and the Infantry Security Forces Assistance Brigade (SFAB) as advisors for the exercise. Guyanese and Jamaican Defense Force troops received hands-on experience with the tactics necessary to extract personnel from vehicles safely and effectively. Tradewinds 2021 is a U.S. Southern Command sponsored Caribbean security-focused exercise in the ground, air, sea, and cyber domains, working with partner nations to conduct joint, combined, and interagency training focused on increasing regional cooperation and stability.
