A Vietnamese witness takes a break from assisting the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command members to a crash site to smoke a cigarette in Ha Tinh, Vietnam. A 12-person team deployed from Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, alongside seven other teams from the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, searching for information on more than 65 Americans lost during the Vietnam War. The Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts in order to support the Department of Defense's personnel accounting efforts.
