Marines with Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, stand in formation in order to pass on the guidon to their drill instructors at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California, on July 1, 2021. The graduating Marines return the guidon to their drill instructor signifying the end of recruit training. Drill instructors will then march their platoon guidons back to the Recruit Training Regiment headquarters building where they will be stored and awaiting to be utilized for the next platoon. Graduation took place at the completion of the 13-week transformation including training for drill, marksmanship, basic combat skills and, Marines Corps customs and traditions.
