Lt. Gen. R. Scott Dingle, the U.S. Army Surgeon General and Commander of the U.S. Army Medical Command presents Staff Sgt. Blade Gill, fire control specialist, with his commander’s coin for his exceptional efforts with the Fort Hood Soldier Recovery Unit’s physical training program during a visit to the facility to receive an overview of operations and support that CRDAMC provides to III Corps and Fort Hood Readiness efforts 21 July. Gill’s expertise raised the SRU to an 80% Army Combat Fitness Test pass rate, with 10 Soldiers scoring over 450 and five Soldiers scoring over 500.
