Marines with Alpha Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, prepare to leave Pier 30/32 on a convoy to Alameda, Calif., to assist with static display preparation near the USS Hornet, Oct. 4, 2012. Their vehicles will be on display for the public to see during the 2012 San Francisco Fleet Week. From Oct. 3-8, Marines and Sailors of the 13th MEU, I Marine Expeditionary Brigade, will participate in numerous community outreach events including the Italian Heritage Day parade, urban search and rescue demonstration, park restoration projects and hospital visits.
