KINGS BAY, Ga. (July 20, 2021) – Lt. Cmdr. Melinda Swayne, a physical therapist at Naval Branch Health Clinic Kings Bay, stretches a sailor’s hip. Swayne, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, says, "Getting our sailors and Marines back out to the fleet as quickly as possible is the most important job we have as physical therapists. It is very rewarding to know that we get to make a direct impact, not only on quality of life, but on the overall mission of the Navy and Marine Corps." On Aug. 4, the Navy Medical Service Corps celebrates 74 years of exceptional service. (U.S. Navy photo by Deidre Smith, Naval Hospital Jacksonville/Released). #FacesofNHJax
