Army Brig. Gen. Sean P. Mulholland holds the U.S. Special Operations Command South unit colors officially making him the commander of SOCSOUTH during a change-of-command ceremony Oct. 2 at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla. Mulholland assumed command from Navy Rear Adm. Thomas L. Brown II, who served two years as the SOCSOUTH commander. Brown was the first Naval officer to command SOCSOUTH in its history, which spans more than 25 years. The presiding officer for the ceremony was Air Force Gen. Douglas Fraser, the commander of U.S. Southern Command.
