60th Aerial Port Squadron and 82nd Aerial Port Squadron personnel load KC-10 Extender seat packs onto a K-loader in preparation to load onto a C-5M Super Galaxy, Aug. 20, 2021, at Travis Air Force Base, California. The KC-10 Extender equipment was prepared for transport in support of the Afghanistan evacuation effort. The U.S. Air Force, in support of the Department of Defense, moved forces into theater to facilitate the safe departure and relocation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigration Visa recipients, and vulnerable Afghan populations from Afghanistan.
