Airman First Class Bryson Hill, 60th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron C-5 integrated instrument and flight control technician, services the nose landing gear strut on a C-5M Super Galaxy Aug. 21, 2021, at Travis Air Force Base, California. The aircraft transported personnel and equipment in support of the Afghanistan evacuation effort. The U.S. Air Force, in support of the Department of Defense, moved forces into theater to facilitate the safe departure and relocation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigration Visa recipients, and vulnerable Afghan populations from Afghanistan.
