210823-N-RP125-1005 BAUCAU, Timor-Leste (Aug. 23, 2021) Builder 3rd Class Brandon Williams, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, uses tie wire to splice rebar during the prefab phase of the four-room schoolhouse. The U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 are constructing the schoolhouse to support the local Ministry of Education. NMCB-5 is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific, strengthening a network of allies and partners, and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces.
