U.S. Army Reserve Spc. Valerie Reichenberger, 368th Financial Management Support Unit, 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command, 79th Theater Sustainment Command, Wichita, Kan., withstands a punch by Master Sgt. Troy Knuckles, an Area One, 9th Battalion Army Reserve Careers Group career counselors stationed at Wichita during a Modern Army Combatives Basic Combatives Course taught by the counselors at the Lanny J. Wallace Army Reserve Center Sept. 2, 2021 in Wichita. The Soldiers, who received Assistant Instructor certifications, were tested in the Option 3 drill finale after passing Battle Drills 1 and 2. The Option 3 drill gives Soldiers confidence to close with the enemy.
