U.S. Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Keefe Murphy, 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command, 79th Theater Sustainment Command, Wichita, Kan., pauses after participating in four iterations of an Option 3 drill in a Modern Army Combatives Level One Basic Combatives Course taught by the counselors at the Lanny J. Wallace Reserve Center in Wichita Sept. 2, 2021. The Soldiers, who received Assistant Instructor certifications, were tested in the Option 3 drill finale after passing Battle Drills 1 and 2. The Option 3 drill gives Soldiers confidence to close with the enemy.
